America’s finest city has a new treat for foodies: Bite San Diego, a food tasting and cultural walking tour (launched last month).
Bite San Diego will feature a guided tasting tour through Downtown & Little Italy as its first tour route. With tours scheduled every Friday and Saturday starting at noon, Bite San Diego will take up to 15 guests on a 1.5 mile tour of six noted restaurants. For Bite San Diego’s Downtown tour, guests will be hosted by: · Royal India, voted San Diego’s “Best Indian” restaurant for several years · Currant, San Diego’s modern American Brasserie in the historic Sofia hotel · Karl Strauss, San Diego’s first micro-brewery · Indigo Grill, a progressive “Pacific Rim” inspired restaurant by local famed chef, Debra Scott · The Glass Door, overlooking the harbor at the top of the Porto Vista Hotel · Café Zucchero, a traditional Italian bakery and café owned by the Busalacchi family Each restaurant will offer a generous taste of a signature dish and/or beverage, and guests will be treated to an overview of the establishment’s highlights and cuisine.
Tickets are $39 per person and booked in advance, online through Bite San Diego’s website.
