Rady Children’s Ice Rink at Liberty Station

San Diego Guitar Festival

Back for its second year, the San Diego Guitar Festival is proud to present award-winning guitarists, including Grammy-winners David Russell and Paul O’Dette. 27th annual Multicultural Earth Day

Fallbrook Avocado Festival

Celebrating its 31st year, the event draws up to 100,000 visitors and features all things avocado — from sweet and savory foods to avocado-related products. Special events include a guacamole contest, a “Little Miss” or “Little Mister” Avocado contest (ages 6-10), a Best Decorated Avocado contest and the Avo 500 children’s car race. There will be live music, a beer and margarita garden, children’s activities and the Artisan Walk on Alvarado Street, featuring more than 30 local artists.

25th Annual Oceanside Days of Art

San Diego County Events for December 2 – 4

Christmastime is upon us, with plenty of festivities in the San Diego County area to enjoy the holiday season! There are several events happening today, Friday Dec. 2, through Sunday.

Balboa Park’s biggest event of the year returns this weekend, kicking off the holiday season with food, live music, dancing, shopping and free admission to museums. December Nights runs for two nights – Dec. 2 and Dec. 3 – from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., respectively. Museums are open and free both nights, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

2016 Chula Vista Starlight Parade

The 2016 Chula Vista Starlight Parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 with Frosty’s Snow Hill opening at noon, followed by the parade beginning at 6 p.m.

The famous Chula Vista Starlight Parade is San Diego County’s largest nighttime parade, filled with twinkling lights, holiday décor and activities for the whole family to enjoy! From noon to 5 p.m., children can take FREE sled rides on REAL SNOW down Frosty’s Snow Hill. And the whole family can dine at Snack Alley on Park Way, or at one of the many eateries along Third Avenue.

Queen Bee Market

Holiday Tree Lighting and Winter Wonderland Festival

Every year, the Center brings the North Pole to the heart of Escondido. Children will have the chance to frolic in real snow, decorate their very own Christmas cookies and even rendezvous with live reindeer!

The highlight for kids is, of course, Santa Claus himself, but there will also be a number of holiday-themed entertainers—from carolers, to stilt walkers, to hula dancers—for all ages to enjoy.
