The 33rd Annual Fiesta Cinco de Mayo celebration in San Diego’s Old Town is the largest in Southern California. Friday through Sunday, the three-day celebration offers music, food and fun, with: three live music stages, a cantina garden, car show, equestrian performances, historical demonstrations, and much more!

Trails of the Kumeyaay
If your mom prefers the outdoors, then perhaps a short hike is the perfect activity for the weekend! Explore the scenic, historic trails of Mission Gorge with a trail guide. The tour takes off from the visitor’s center at 9:30 a.m. and the guided tour is free.
