The rate of foreclosures goes down
Now at the lowest point since the Great Recession, foreclosures in the San Diego County region were only at 121 properties last month (September 2014), reported by the San Diego Union-Tribune in their article here.
This is the fewest since the 109 homes that were foreclosed on by lenders in June of 2006. The foreclosure peak was in July 2008, with 2,004 foreclosed homes.
Default notices were down as well in September, at only 398 — down from the 422 in August and the 466 in September 2014.
