2016 Padres FanFest will take place at Petco Park on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2, in conjunction with two exhibition games against the Chicago White Sox. FanFest activities are free of charge. No ticket or pre-registration are necessary. FanFest will be the first opportunity for fans to experience this season’s ballpark updates, including the LED ballpark lighting and the new bi-level group and social space in right field: Sun Diego Beach and The Pier.

6th Annual Geranium Conference
The San Diego Geranium Society will be hosting the 2016 Geranium Conference on Saturday, April 2. World class speakers will discuss this varied group of plants, and answer any questions you may have. There will also be a wonderful plant sale with geraniums and pelargoniums available that you may have never seen before, or even heard of! Lunch is included.

Fort Cross Lilac Festival
The beautiful town of Julian nestled up in the mountains east of San Diego is putting on their first annual Lilac Festival, April 2 & 3, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. both days.
The weekend’s activities will include hayrides, archery, tomahawk throwing, candle dipping, face painting, pony rides, and vendor shopping. And, if they don’t bloom too early, beautifully fragrant lilacs available for purchase. Admission is free and includes the opportunity to join in on live music and dancing. Basic activity package is $8 per person and includes a hayride, tomahawk throwing, and candle dipping. Group discounts available for a family of four or more.

5th Annual Chocolate Festival | A Celebration of Chocolate on the Bay
An event for all ages. Vendors focusing on chocolate edibles, demonstrations and many other interesting activities. Mars Chocolate History Ambassadors will be onsite to demonstrate the historical bean-to-beverage story of 18th-century chocolate using authentic tools including cocoa pods, cocoa beans and nibs, a hot stone metate, winnowing baskets, chocolate drink pots and stirrers throughout the day. Observers will be able to touch, taste, smell, and experience chocolate as it was enjoyed in early America at every demonstration by sampling AMERICAN HERITAGE® Chocolate drink
