easterSantee Lakes’ Eggstravaganza

Santee Lakes presents our annual Eggstravaganza! In partnership with the City of Santee, this event boasts of continuous egg hunts for ages 3 to 8 years old, carnival rides for all ages, petting zoo, craft booths, face painting and much more.

Easter Sunrise Service

easterThis Easter, Sunday April 5 at 6:30 a.m., the Mt. Helix Park amphitheater will be home to its 90th sunrise service. Dedicated in 1925, this historic venue averages 1,000 participants who come from throughout the county, and beyond to celebrate against the backdrop of the Park’s spectacular 360 degree views.

Touted as being the second oldest continuous Easter sunrise service celebration in the United States and the oldest in San Diego, services began in the Park in 1917.

Each year a different religious organization hosts the event which is free and open to the public, and this year it is the Foothills United Methodist Church.

The Bunny Train
