The holidays bring even more events to our great San Diego county; the Garden of Lights, star-gazing and the boat Parade of Lights are just a few activities that you and your family can enjoy this weekend, December 19 – 21.
Garden of Lights
After the sun goes down in December, the San Diego Botanic Garden is transformed into a winter wonderland. Over 100,000 sparkling lights light up the Garden for a magical holiday experience.There will be: horse-drawn wagon rides, holiday crafts, marshmallow roasting, visits with Santa, live music, refreshments, and on select nights, hot mulled wine and snow. The Garden of Lights is presented by the County of San Diego.
When: Friday, December 19 – Tuesday, December 23 & Friday, December 26 | 5 – 9pm

Cider Under the Stars
‘Tis the season for hot cider, campfires, live music and stargazing at the Oakoasis Preserve Campground. The San Diego Astronomy Association’s high powered telescopes give an up-close view of stars and planets. The event is free and fun for the whole family.

San Diego Bay Parade of Lights
This is the second weekend of the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights, an annual time-honored holiday tradition brought to San Diego by the boating community. The parade takes place on San Diego Bay with more than 80 boats lavishly decorated to a new theme each year.
When: Sunday, December 21 | 5:30 – 7:30pm
Where: San Diego Bay | The parade proceeds from Shelter Island past Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, and the Ferry Landing in Coronado
