Sculpture in the Garden
The sprawling botanical garden in Encinitas (230 Quail Gardens Drive) is featuring the sculpture work of 30 artists through the month of April. See the artwork, ranging from whimsical to abstract, set against a backdrop of dragon trees, rare fruit gardens, bamboo groves and ponds. All of the artwork is available for purchase and goes to fund the botanical garden. Admission to the botanical garden is $14 for adults and $8 for children.

San Diego Veterans Day Parade
Thousands of San Diegans will salute those who served our country on Saturday at the annual San Diego Veterans Parade. Locals will line the parade route, from Waterfront Park down N. Harbor Drive, as floats, cars and other processions travel the one-mile stretch. The 32nd annual parade will pass USS Midway and the B Street Pier before turning left on Pacific Highway. Guests can view the parade along the entire route, excluding some sections reserved for the parade, which is free to attend.

Viejas Outlet Center Ice Rink
Viejas Casino & Resort has decked the halls and opened their outdoor ice rink for the winter season (which doesn’t officially begin until Dec. 21). Guests can take a spin on one of Southern California’s largest outdoor skating rinks for 90 minutes with the purchase of a $16 for adults and $14 ticket for kids 12 and under. Season passes are available for those who want to enjoy the rink time and time again. The ice rink is open from 3 to 10 p.m. on the weekends and 5 to 10 p.m. during the week through November excluding Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Check the schedule here before you go.

Tribute to Veterans – Inspiration Concert
Celebrate San Diego’s military with us at our first-ever Tribute to Veterans Concerts on Saturday, November 10, as we recognize and honor those who serve and have served our country. This special performance will include patriotic repertoire as well as classical selections performed by our foundational level ensembles at College Avenue Baptist Church.
