BOOmont Fall Festival
Returning for its sixth season, BOOmont & Fall Fest rises from the dusk as Belmont Park transforms with festive fall thrills and chills throughout the beachfront amusement park, offering halloween and fall-themed festivities for guests of all ages in October and November! Free entrance, additional costs for some activities.

Kids Free October
October is Kids Free month in San Diego at more than 100 participating restaurants, attractions and hotels. That means free meals, free admission to theme parks, museums and more, and free gifts at several other locations. Kids can take a dive at Legoland when an adult buys their ticket, visit the animals at either the San Diego Zoo or San Diego Zoo Safari Park (or both!), or dine free at Carnitas Snack Shack, just to name a few. Join the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum Association in our annual Pumpkin Express Halloween Celebration. Come ride their decorated vintage railcars through the San Diego county mountains as fall descends upon Campo, CA. Walk through the themed Display Building complete with two haunted trains, a pumpkin patch, and our creepy cast of ghosts and ghouls.
Start your spooky day off right with a train ride. Trains depart from the Campo Depot at 11:00 AM, 1:15 PM, and 3:00 PM. The Pumpkin Express will wind down the hill through some of the most scenic parts of the historic San Diego and Arizona Railway. After the train returns to the museum grounds, passengers will be let off at the Display Building where children and their parents will enjoy decorating pumpkins from the indoor pumpkin patch and a walk through one of our two haunted trains.

‘Sleepy Hollow: A Musical Tale’
A Halloween-themed play! Three modern day kids try to figure out how to return home after they are magically transported back in time on Halloween night. They are thrown straight into the legend of Sleepy Hollow as the 18th century colonial town is preparing for the arrival of the Headless Horseman.

Festival Of Lights – 11th Annual Diwali Celebration
San Diego Indian American Society, in association with San Diego Museum of Art, and Indian associations of San Diego, will be celebrating the 11th Annual Festival of Lights on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 in historic Balboa Park. Besides the below schedule, there will be an ancient large lamps exhibition, lights procession, and local Indian restaurants will be selling food from various parts of India.

South Park Fall Walkabout
The South Park Walkabout is a quarterly fun-filled evening festival that showcases all the unique and independent businesses within South Park. Enjoy complimentary treats, live entertainment and special offers. The walkabout highlights both the south and north end of the South Park business district. The north end starts at Kalmia and 30th Street and extends south to 30th and Beech Street.

Scallywag! day-long music and craft beer festival. This event will take place Saturday, October 20th at Waterfront Park. Live music throughout the day. Festival-goers show up early to receive their complimentary SCALLYWAG tasting glass to enjoy unlimited complimentary tastings from 1pm-4pm. Locally sourced food trucks and vendors will be on site to serve great nibbles all day long! After 4pm, Scallywag will have several brewers and wineries on hand to serve you drinks to purchase.
