La Mesa Oktoberfest
Three days of music, vendors, speakers, workshops, kid’s activities, lots of brats — and of course plenty of German beer. 2017 will be one for the books, with more attractions, vendors, and experiences than ever before. Bands include Way Cool Jr, DJ Valtaik, Cheap Tricked, Unsteady, Manganista, Groove Kitty, Exit 6, Super Buffet, and the Bavarian Beergarden Band.

San Diego Restaurant Week 2017
It’s already been going since the start of this week, but don’t miss out on the last few days of this year’s San Diego Restaurant Week!
The 13th Annual San Diego Restaurant Week returns Sunday, September 24th through Sunday, October 1st with a FEAST for the senses at over 180 participating restaurants. Dine deliciously at restaurants offering prix-fixe menu options throughout San Diego County. This foodie-favorited week is the perfect time to take a culinary tour throughout the diverse and thriving food culture of San Diego.
For one week only, over 180 participating restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe dinner menus for $20, $30, $40 or $50 per person and/or two-course prix-fixe lunch menus for $10, $15 or $20 per person. The participating restaurants span across the county from the South Bay to East County and to the borders of Oceanside and Fallbrook to the North and touch on all cuisine types and cravings.

Muses of The Old Globe
San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre turned 82 this year and women have played leading roles in its history. The “Muses of The Old Globe” exhibition – on display at the Women’s Museum of California (2730 Historic Decatur Rd., Barracks 16) at Liberty Station through Oct. 29 – highlights the women including directors, actors, playwrights, craftspeople and business leaders, who shaped The Globe into what it is today. The exhibit is included with the $5 admission into the museum.

Bollywood Garba by the Sea
Bollywood Steps will lead Bollywood Garba by the Sea, an evening of live performances, dancing and music in the courtyard at The Headquarters at Seaport. Garba is an Indian folk dance performed only on certain festival days, including Sept. 29. The dance includes forming a large circle with others around you. This free event is open to all ages; no dancing experience necessary.

Old Town Art and Craft Show
Fine art, music, food and craft beer all come together this weekend at the Old Town Art and Craft Show. Now in its seventh year, the festival features more than 75 local, regional and international contemporary artists displaying mostly original work in a juried competition. In addition, there will be a children’s area and live entertainment.
The Cabrillo Festival
The Cabrillo Festival is a fun event for the entire family, with educational activities, cultural demonstrations and exciting folkloric performances.
Brightly colored clothing and dramatic music and dancing bring to life the traditions of the Native American, Mexican, Portuguese and Spanish cultures that are part of the age of exploration.
The Cabrillo Festival features food booths with delicious traditional Mexican, Native American, Portuguese and Spanish food. Vendors will showcase their various artistic goods.

36th Annual Adams Avenue Street Fair
The 36th annual Adams Avenue Street Fair, Southern California’s largest free two-day music festival, will feature 80 artists performing on six stages along Adams Avenue.

Good Food Community Fair
This Sunday, stop by the largest collection of food system advocates and practitioners in the County. Slow Food Urban San Diego organizes this fair, which features a panel discussion, culinary demonstrations and plenty of tasty treats and yummy samples. You’ll get a chance to tour the first sustainable, edible garden in Balboa Park, meet local organizations dedicated to food justice, and more.
