According to the S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index released on Tuesday, from January to February, “prices on the index rose 1 percent, highest on the 20-city measure” (U-T San Diego, “San Diego home appreciation leads U.S.“).

This index is specifically measuring the repeat sales of single-family homes (SFRs). “From February 2013 to February 2014, San Diego home values are up 19.9 percent, trailing only San Francisco and Las Vegas in annual appreciation” (U-T San Diego).
