SDUSD Art Gallery at Seaport

Seaport Village and the San Diego Unified School District have joined forced to launch a student-led art gallery located within Seaport Village. The gallery will showcase a rotating selection of artwork curated from more than 12,000 San Diego students in Pre-K to 11th grade. The gallery is open each week, Friday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

San Diego County Fair

The 2019 San Diego County Fair, presented by Albertsons|Vons, invites guests to skip down the yellow brick road and enter into an “Oz-some” world inspired by L. Frank Baum’s classic tale, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.”

25th Annual Taste of Gaslamp

The 25th Annual Taste of Gaslamp will be showcasing the excellent dining options of the Gaslamp Quarter. General Admission tickets are $35 pre-sale ($45 day-of) and allow you to sample 25+ different restaurants from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on a self-guided walking tour with a beer garden featuring different brews from the Karl Strauss brewery.

San Diego Shaka Fest

Annual Lakeside Rodeo

Annual MotorCars on MainStreet Car Show

Coronado MainStreet hosts an annual car show, MotorCars on MainStreet, featuring over 400 pre-73 restored classic, rod and custom cars & trucks. The event is held in downtown Coronado, one block from the beach, at Isabella & Orange Avenues, usually on the last Sunday in April from 10:00 to 3:00 PM. Co-Sponsors Ron Baker Chevrolet, the City of Coronado and the County of San Diego welcome participants and spectators to the grand gathering. There is live music featuring The Cat-illacs and drawings throughout the day.

Adams Avenue Unplugged

Adams Avenue Unplugged, a free musical walkabout, takes place April 28, 2018 along a two-mile stretch of Adams Avenue, from University Heights on the West through Normal Heights, and into parts of Kensington to the East. The event will feature live musical performances staged inside restaurants, bars, coffee houses and galleries lining the neighborhood. Being able to pair the Avenue’s unique dining and drinking establishments, each with their own special ambiances and selections, with free musical performances, makes Adams Avenue the place to be on the last weekend of April. The AABA hopes to treat musical aficionados and foodies to the rich neighborhood culture.

The San Diego Kids Expo & Fair presented by Toyota every April and October is part businesses and non-profits on display, part fun fair and part music and dance festival. And definitely all kids!

Chocolate Festival

The history of chocolate and how it came to our country is an interesting tale of seafaring travels.

Guests will experience the delicious range of samples from dozens of vendors, make your own chocolate pizzas, cooking demonstrations, chocolate pairings with wine and beer for the adults, and a scavenger hunt.

Encinitas Spring Street Fair

Ramona Rodeo

At the Ramona Rodeo, you will see different PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) and WPRA (Womens Professional Rodeo Association) contestants compete at each performance. 36th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Irish Festival

All of San Diego County is invited to come this weekend to enjoy all things Irish, at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Festival! There will be live entertainment on two stages, Irish food, festivities, vendors, and a beer garden. There’s a Celtic Village, games, activities, an art contest, dancing, and music for children.

The festival runs from 9am to 6pm, and the parade begins at 10:30am.

34th Annual San Diego Chinese New Year Food & Cultural Fair

The San Diego Chinese Center hosts its 34th annual Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair, Feb. 13-14, 2016 in the Asian Pacific Thematic Historic District of San Diego (Third Avenue and J Street). This two day event will include lion and dragon dances, continuous live performances on stage with martial arts demonstrations, acrobats, traditional Chinese music performances, folk dances, and taiko drumming. Visitors can sample over 50 food and commercial booths. Children can make lanterns and masks in the children craft area, and march in the Lantern Parade each day.

2016 soundON Festival of Modern Music

The 2016 soundON Festival of Modern Music: APOCALYPSE AND TRANSFIGURATION. Replete with evocative and powerful imagery, classic Jewish and Christian apocalypses (the most well-known being the first century Apocalypse of John or Book of Revelation) portray an imminent end of history, and are characterized by descriptions of a supernatural world and the fate of the dead. Yet many were written to comfort and encourage a people in crisis, and thus in a sense are documents of hope, pointing to an ultimate transfiguration of existence.
