Experience live music bi-weekly in one of San Diego’s most beautiful historical landmarks. Witness the stunning architecture of this intimate Japanese garden while supporting music education in San Diego. Produced by the students of the award-winning Mission Bay High School Jazz Preservationists, in partnership with the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Diego and the San Diego-Yokohama Sister City Society, the Japanese Friendship Garden Concerts series is an exciting new JAZZ program of unique live performances, from February to April, set against the serene backdrop of the Japanese Friendship Garden within the halls of the stunning Inamori Pavilion.

Uncorked: San Diego Wine Fest

Uncorked Wine Festivals is back for the fourth annual Uncorked: SD spring wine festival. Enjoy over 200 wines and champagnes from across the globe, gourmet food trucks, live dj, lawn games and more! Bring your picnic blankets or beach chairs and come hang out to sip and savor on the water.

Easter Bunny Hut

The festive Bunny Hut returns for another Spring, so families can meet the Easter Bunny in La Mesa. From April 6 through April 20, the Easter Bunny will be in residence at the Center’s courtyard gazebo. There, families can spend some time with the Easter Bunny and come away with a photo.

Every year, La Mesa Park and Recreation Foundation puts on some free family fun with their Sundays at Six concert series. This Sunday is the last concert; it begins at 6pm, with Big Band Ambassadors — big band style concert!

San Diego Beer Fest

The 6th annual San Diego Brew Fest returns to Liberty Station, and promising another fun filled day with beer, food trucks, and music. The event will feature dozens of local local and international craft beers, as well as San Diego’s most popular food trucks (food sold separately).

Admission is $40 for general admission (2pm to 5pm) and $50 for VIP (1pm to 5pm) and include the beer tastings.

Point Loma Summer Concert

Families, friends and neighbors will enjoy a picnic and settle in for free concerts at Point Loma Park. This year’s lineup promises to please a variety of musical tastes. This year, the concerts will feature young talent on the “Junior Stage” starting at 5:30 PM. Concert goers bring their own seating and/or blankets – and can order dinner from one of our catering sponsors.

La Mesa’s “Sundays at Six” Summer Concert Series holds another concert this weekend.

The free, family-friendly concert series in La Mesa continues this month in July with this Sunday’s event: Pine Creek Posse, bring country music to this part of San Diego County. As its name suggests, the concert will be held this Sunday, July 13 at 6pm — check it out for some good family fun!
