With so many free, or nearly free, events and things to do this Friday through Sunday, there’s no reason not to come down to sunny San Diego County for the weekend!

ArtWalk @ Liberty Station returns for a weekend of fine art, food, live entertainment and more.

Stroll through Ingram Plaza in the heart of Liberty Station’s Arts District to view over 200 international, national and local artists will be featuring every medium of art including painting, sculpture, glass work, fine jewelry, photography and more.

The arts festival will also include a KidsWalk, which offers interactive art for kids; street food options and a wine and beer pavilion.

Summer Movies in the Park

Summer Movies in the Park is a series of free outdoor movie screenings in community parks and recreation centers throughout San Diego.

Movies begin at dusk, which is about 15 minutes after sunset. People are encouraged to come early for picnics and activities.

Fiesta Del Sol

The largest community-driven family festival in San Diego County, the 10th Annual Fiesta del Sol is a two-day street festival celebrating the history, diverse cultures, and civic engagement of the people of San Diego.  Grand Avenue Festival

Stop by the second largest single-day fair in California on Sunday. The Escondido Grand Avenue Festival will have children’s rides and activities, live music, and many vendors.More than 500 vendors, children’s rides and activities will line the streets of Escondido Sunday as residents come out to enjoy rides, live music and children’s games. The festival crosses seven historic blocks of the city and marks the second largest single-day fair in California. Admission is free.
