The Ugly Dog Contest is a family event where dog lovers can enter their pets into any of the 10 categories. Categories include ugly dog, best costume, best mutt, most handsome, most beautiful, cutest puppy, most unusual markings, looks like their owner and best trick.

Sunday Spreckles Organ Concert

7th Annual Bankers Hill Art & Craft Beer Festival

Taking place throughout the two levels of The Abbey on Fifth Avenue, a historic 10,000-square foot venue, this year’s festival features unlimited access to two-ounce pours from more than a dozen San Diego craft breweries, complimentary savory and sweet bites from Bankers Hill eateries, live DJ music and pop-up art exhibits ranging from paintings and fine art photography to creative displays, with many works for sale at the event.

Pioneer Family Fun: Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead, Escondido

Interested in a fun family weekend? Join SDRVC for an interactive day at the Sikes Adobe Historic Farmstead, where participants (ages 7 – 12) will learn what it was like to be a pioneering family, how the community functioned through crop production, trading and animals that provided food and milk, and the importance of the natural environment in daily living.

As a part of the Watershed Explorers Program, families are encouraged to participate as a whole!

Coronado’s Annual Holiday Parade

Coronado’s  43rd Annual Holiday Parade will happen tonight, Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at 6 p.m.

This hometown parade is a true holiday tradition and thousands line the street each year to kick off the holiday season in style! The parade starts at 6 p.m., but many come early to Rotary Plaza to sing carols from 5-6 p.m. and anxiously await Santa’s arrival via fire truck. Once Santa arrives, one lucky local family is selected each year to help the Mayor flip the switch on Star Pine.

Adams Avenue Street Fair

The 37th annual Adams Avenue Street Fair will feature more than 80 artists performing on six stages along Adams Avenue in Normal Heights.

This year’s headliners will include West London reggae/tropical pop sing Hollie Cook (daughter of Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook), and the roots-rockin’ Deke Dickerson and the Ecco-Fonics. In addition to the great variety of music, there will be a craft beer taste (Saturday only), four beer gardens, giant carnival rides, festival food and more than 300 exhibitors.

Taste of South Park

Rock the Bay Triathlon

Register for the Inaugural Rock the Bay Triathlon! Taking place at the beautiful San Diego Bay Front. Experience the beauty and excitement of San Diego’s Bay Front.  With it’s unique boardwalk swim entry, bike course traversing Harbor Drive and ending with a run along the Emarcadero Marina Park behind Seaport Village.

This Rock Themed Triathlon Will Rock You from Start to finish! The 65′ Adventrous Yacht will be anchored out on the swim course to provide swimmers with Classic Rock, runners will enjoy the awesome tunes of Mystique near the Midway aircraft carrier, and Finishers will be Rocked into the Finishline!

Coastal Cleanup Day
