22nd Spring Garden Festival

For one day each year, the Rancho San Diego campus transforms into a green mecca, with fun programs, exhibitors and demonstrations designed to inspire the gardener in everyone.  From urban farming to water-conserving landscaping ideas, the festival is the place to go to learn about sustainability, all the while relishing Southern California’s springtime weather.

Shaka Fest 2015

The San Diego Shaka Fest is the Fusion of Hawaiian Culture, Arts, & Athletics!  So bring the entire family to this super fun and family oriented event which includes a Stand Up Paddle race open to adult and youth racers, the Keiki Heihei Waa (Youth only Hawaiian canoe regatta), SUP & Health Wellness Expo, Classic Woody Car exhibit, Hoomau Hula O Nā Keiki  – Keiki Hula Competition, lots of your favorite boutique and food vendors, and da kine Hawaiian entertainment.  This festival will take place at Crown Point Park, located on beautiful San Diego Mission Bay.

10th Annual “It’s How We Live!” Health and Wellness Fair

Have fun and learn how to be healthy too? Yes, the two will go hand in hand at the 10th Annual “It’s How We Live!” health and wellness fair at Spring Valley County Park.

For the kids, there will be bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course, games (bird-watching, anyone?) and arts and crafts. The Spring Valley Fire Department will also bring out some fire trucks. Visitors can try healthy food samples, watch dance performances and martial arts demonstrations, listen to live entertainment and stroll along the various informational booths.

Great American Foodie Fest

This free group run revolves around a 60-minute scavenger hunt filled with tons of giveaways, raffle prizes, music and a beer garden. Runners zip through checkpoints near the Carlsbad Road Runner Sports store and grab as many free raffle tickets along the route. The more checkpoints you hit, the more tickets you get, and those tickets are used to try to get prizes. The actual run is from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m., with the prizes giveaway and after-party to follow.
