Harbor Parade of Lights: Oceanside

Bring a blanket, some hot chocolate and pick a comfortable spot to watch this years Parade of Lights celebration in the quaint Oceanside Harbor. Fishing boats, sail boats, yachts, kayaks and dingys will all be dressed-up in holiday swag and circling Oceanside Harbor enchanting onlookers along the harbor and at the neighboring restaurants. Many of the boats even feature people dressed up like Santa waving to the crowd!

Annual Winter Concert

The first part of our concert will feature the seasonal favorite, Handel’s Messiah. Enjoy the beautiful and intricate melodies as performed by the Chorus and local professional solists. San Diego Restaurant Week 2017

It’s already been going since the start of this week, but don’t miss out on the last few days of this year’s San Diego Restaurant Week!

The 13th Annual San Diego Restaurant Week returns Sunday, September 24th through Sunday, October 1st with a FEAST for the senses at over 180 participating restaurants. Dine deliciously at restaurants offering prix-fixe menu options throughout San Diego County. This foodie-favorited week is the perfect time to take a culinary tour throughout the diverse and thriving food culture of San Diego.

For one week only, over 180 participating restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe dinner menus for $20, $30, $40 or $50 per person and/or two-course prix-fixe lunch menus for $10, $15 or $20 per person. The participating restaurants span across the county from the South Bay to East County and to the borders of Oceanside and Fallbrook to the North and touch on all cuisine types and cravings.

Muses of The Old Globe

San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre turned 82 this year and women have played leading roles in its history. The “Muses of The Old Globe” exhibition – on display at the Women’s Museum of California (2730 Historic Decatur Rd., Barracks 16) at Liberty Station through Oct. 29 – highlights the women including directors, actors, playwrights, craftspeople and business leaders, who shaped The Globe into what it is today. The exhibit is included with the $5 admission into the museum.

Bollywood Garba by the Sea

Bollywood Steps will lead Bollywood Garba by the Sea, an evening of live performances, dancing and music in the courtyard at The Headquarters at Seaport. Garba is an Indian folk dance performed only on certain festival days, including Sept. 29. The dance includes forming a large circle with others around you. This free event is open to all ages; no dancing experience necessary.

Old Town Art and Craft Show

Fine art, music, food and craft beer all come together this weekend at the Old Town Art and Craft Show. The Cabrillo Festival

The Cabrillo Festival is a fun event for the entire family, with educational activities, cultural demonstrations and exciting folkloric performances.

Summer Movies in the Park

Summer Movies in the Park is a series of free outdoor movie screenings in community parks and recreation centers throughout San Diego.

Movies begin at dusk, which is about 15 minutes after sunset. People are encouraged to come early for picnics and activities.
