San Diego County Events for June 2 – 4, 2017

So many great events are happening this weekend in San Diego County (the La Mesa Flag Day Parade is a classic)! And many of the annual summer activities are starting up for the season: the San Diego County Fair, Sunday Concert Series, and Summer Movies in the Park.

San Diego County Fair

The yearly county fair opens TODAY! This year’s theme is “Where the West is Fun”; the fair runs today, June 2, through Tuesday, July 4, 2017.

Peter Pan: Free Circus Show in City Heights

Mid-City Gym in City Heights will be transformed into a thrilling Circus experience, inspired by the classic story of Peter Pan. Performed by local professional circus artists and accomplished circus students from the Sophia Isadora Academy of Circus Arts.

Summer Movies in the Park

Summer Movies in the Park is a series of free outdoor movie screenings in community parks and recreation centers throughout San Diego.

Movies begin at dusk, which is about 15 minutes after sunset. People are encouraged to come early for picnics and activities.

The Boardwalk Craft Market

This unique festival, now in its 25th year, offers Poway residents the chance to shop for unique and useful handmade arts and crafts from local artists. The event is free and fun for the whole family.

Sophisticats concert – Seaport Village’s Free Sunday Concert Series

For more than 20 years, Sophisticats have brough 50s, 60s and 70s music to the free Sunday Concert Series. There’s always other bands playing at Seaport Village, too — check out the lineup online.

Event: La Mesa Flag Day Parade

La Mesa Flag Day Parade will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014.

La Mesa, CAThis patriotic event is an annual tradition. Festivities usually begin at 9:00 am with our pre-parade concerts. The parade starts at 10:00 am, and proceeds along La Mesa Boulevard from Memorial Drive, through the downtown village, to city hall.
