Maker Faire San Diego

Ocean Beach Oktoberfest

The 13th annual Ocean Beach Oktoberfest is a two-day eclectic, beachside festival that will include a variety of exciting activities, contests and entertainment with proceeds benefiting local non-profit organizations.

Festivities kick off Friday at noon with the Oktoberstretch yoga festival, beer garden, live music and games.

San Diego International Film Festival

The San Diego Int’l Film Festival, currently produced by the San Diego Film Foundation, is the region’s premier showcase for outstanding U.S. and International independent filmmaking. The five-day event is an entertaining, enlightening and educational gathering that embraces the region’s diverse cultural landscape, enhances the art community and expands the economic vitality of San Diego.

2015 Ocean Beach Oktoberfest Festival

Where better to pair the beach with beer, than in San Diego county? At the Ocean Beach Oktoberfest Festival, you’ll enjoy one of San Diego’s beaches, while also enjoying one of San Diego’s favorite past-times.

The festival will put on two days of entertainment, with: live music, an oceanfront beer garden, the annual Brat Trot runs, contests, and more activities. Come enjoy the German festival on the southern California beach!

San Diego County Events for September 18 – 20

The San Diego Festival of Beer finally comes of age this year, turning 21. The beer tasting festival is organized by the non-profit San Diego Professionals Against Cancer (SDPAC) and doubles as a fundraiser for the organization. The event will be held at the picturesque Broadway Pier in downtown San Diego, and the first 1,500 attendees will receive a free souvenir tasting mug to keep and use throughout the evening.

San Diego Bayfair

The world’s fastest boats will roar into Mission Bay for this three-day, family-friendly festival featuring high-octane action, music and beer gardens. This year, Bayfair organizers expect one of the largest boat fleets ever on the water, with more than 80 teams competing in multiple races. More than 85,000 spectators are expected to descend on East Vacation Island, Crown Point and Fiesta Island for this annual outdoor weekend event. 43rd Annual Bonitafest

The communities of Bonita and Sweetwater Valley will celebrate their heritage Saturday with the 43rd Annual BonitaFest. The festival kicks off Friday evening with a twilight trail parade. A street fair will take over the area around Bonita Vista High School. There will also be a performing arts festival.

Julian Music Festival

20th Annual Encinitas Oktoberfest

19th Encinitas Oktoberfest

The 19th Annual Encinitas Chamber of Commerce Oktoberfest presented by California Coast Credit Union will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 10am to 5pm on Mountain Vista Drive and El Camino Real.

It will feature The Bluebirds a German-American Band, Bavarian dancers, tradional Oktoberfest beer from Spaten and a street craft faire featuring over 200 vendors, including artisans with unusual arts and craft items.

The family food and refreshment tent will be serving authentic German food and beers from national & local breweries.

A tradition for our community is the annual Oktoberfest. This activity brings visitors and vendors from all over the region to La Mesa for a weekend dedicated to family, friends, great food and entertainment. The La Mesa Chamber has proudly partnered with the La Mesa Village Merchants Association, who began this popular event over 35 years ago. This event has gone from a small street fair to a 3-day festival with 400 vendors offering goods and services to over 186,000 attendees. Add great food, lots of children activities, entertainment and of course, good old German brats and cold beer, and you have a family event that has something for everyone!
