Starting this Friday, get half-priced admission at over 40 museums countywide. Pick up a Museum Month discount pass in order to get the discounted pricing. The Museum Month discount pass can be picked up at over 75 library locations in the San Diego area. The pass is free and can be used to get half-price admission at more than 40 local museums in the month of February.

24th Annual Lake Poway Youth Fishing Derby: Poway

Rain or shine! Fishing, prizes, entertainment, games, bounce houses, a free barbecue lunch and more! The lake will be open only to youth ages 15 and younger from 6:00 AM-12:00 PM. Winners must be present to claim prizes at the awards ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.

Annual Homesteading Arts Faire

Beekeeping, home flocks and cheese making will be just a few of the demonstrations taking place at Hawthorne Country Store’s annual spring Homesteading Arts Faire, taking place on Saturday, Feb. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The all-day event is designed to connect those that teach and sell homesteading arts with those that wish to learn, purchase and experience self-sustaining products and skills of the past.

The Encinitas Holiday Street Fair is one of the largest holiday fairs in San Diego County. Mother Goose Parade

Mother Goose is ready to usher in the holiday season in El Cajon. The annual parade marches down Main Street, from El Cajon Boulevard to First Street, with an array of whimsical balloons, from Humpty Dumpty to turkeys, and of course Mother Goose herself.

Rady Children’s Ice Rink in Liberty Station

Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary and Liberty Station welcome San Diegans to kick off the holiday season with outdoor ice skating at the Rady Children’s Ice Rink at Liberty Station beginning Saturday, November 17 and closing Sunday, January 6.

The outdoor rink will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas.
