35th Annual Chinese New Year Food & Cultural Fair

This year’s fair celebrates the year of the rooster. It is free to the public, and promises to be the best ever, filled with spectacular dance and cultural performances, and tantalizing street food that you might find at a lively Chinese night market. No passport or plane ticket needed – it’s all right here.

Macy’s Museum Month

February is Macy’s Museum Month. It’s a great time to explore more than 40 museums across San Diego County. From art to history and science to nature museums offer something for everyone and every age.

Free passes are available at Macy’s stores in San Diego and Temecula. One pass is good for up to four half-price admission at each museum all month long.

Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo

Learn more about living a gluten-free or allergen-free lifestyle at this large expo. The event features hundreds of products as well as meet-and-greets with local and national brands and speakers. All products at the expo are gluten-free, and many are free of the top eight allergens – and there is also a section completely nut-free! Tickets, which start at $5, features entry to the vendor area featuring more than 100 booths as well as coupons, samples, classes and more.

HauntFest

The fifth annual “HauntFest on Main” event will be held Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 in Downtown El Cajon! The special event will run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Downtown El Cajon, with an estimated 35,000 people expected. Admission is free, but some of the rides will charge a nominal fee.

Howl-O-Ween Canine Carnival

Ocean Beach Kiwanis’ Annual Howl-o-Ween Canine Carnival will be held at Dusty Rhodes Park on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s a Howl-O-Ween Party and Street Fair for OBceans and their best friends, featuring games, prizes, costume contest/parade (for dogs and their humans), and food. Dog lovers from anywhere are welcome!

The 2016 La Jolla Art & Wine Festival returns to La Jolla for its eigth annual season on October 8th and 9th in the heart of the village, on Girard Ave. This two-day juried art show and fundraiser has quickly garnered a reputation as one of the most prestigious art & wine festivals in Southern California. The La Jolla Art & Wine Festival is free and open to the public.

Sip and Spin: A Group Ride and Get-Together

Bring your bike or trike and join the San Diego Museum of Man in decorating your bike wheels, taking a ride through the park, and celebrating at an after-party in the museum’s rotunda. Then all will prepare bike-safety kits for homeless bike riders to benefit the San Diego Rescue Mission.

63rd Annual World Championship OTL | Over the Line

“Hosted each July by the Mission Bay Athletic Club (OMBAC), the annual sporting and merrymaking event typically draws about 1,200 teams from around the world to Mission Bay to partake in OTL, a bat and ball sport first played in Mission Beach in the 1950s” (nbcsandiego.com). Over The Line is a public event and requires no ticket or entrance fee to watch the games and enjoy the tournament.

29th Annual Koi Showkoi show

The world’s largest Koi show comes to San Diego this Saturday. Stop by the free festival to marvel at more than 300 Koi displayed at Del Mar Fairgrounds in competition. Seaport Village Busker Festival

San Diego’s Seaport Village hosts the only Busker Festival in Southern California. 34th Annual San Diego Chinese New Year Food & Cultural Fair

The San Diego Chinese Center hosts its 34th annual Chinese New Year Food and Cultural Fair, Feb. 13-14, 2016 in the Asian Pacific Thematic Historic District of San Diego (Third Avenue and J Street). This two day event will include lion and dragon dances, continuous live performances on stage with martial arts demonstrations, acrobats, traditional Chinese music performances, folk dances, and taiko drumming. Visitors can sample over 50 food and commercial booths. Children can make lanterns and masks in the children craft area, and march in the Lantern Parade each day.

24th Annual Kuumba Fest

San Diego International Auto Show
