Julian Apple Days Festival

As part of Julian’s Apple Days Celebration, a two-day Apple Days Festival will be held Sept. 24 & 25, 2016 at Menghini Winery.

The festival will feature apple displays, music and dancing, an antique tractor display, children’s games and activities, gold panning demonstrations, a beer and wine garden, food and merchandise vendors, and contests.

35th Annual Adams Avenue Street Fair

The 35th annual Adams Avenue Street Fair – featuring 90 musical acts on seven stages – is Southern California’s largest free two-day music festival. The event will feature three beer gardens, giant carnival rides, exotic foods and more than 300 exhibitors.

Art & Craft Show Old Town

Fine art, music, food, craft beer and wine come together every year along the scenic road of San Diego Avenue in Old Town, Calif for the Art & Craft Show Old Town in San Diego — a FREE weekend event this weekend.  5th Annual Healthy Living Festival

At the 5th Annual Healthy Living Festival, there will be a wealth of healthy-living information! Plan on checking out the 30 free workshops, seminars and cooking demos, and visit the 200 exhibitors focused on healthy living. There will also be free medical testing, yoga and other classes, and belly dancing and zumba shows!

ArtFest at San Diego Botanic Gardens

Oceanside Independence Day Parade

This popular parade features lots of marching bands, equestrian units, local scouts and pageant winners, as well as military veterans and heroes.

Where: Parade begins at corner of Wisconsin and Coast Highway and continues through downtown Oceanside.

Events: St. Patrick Day’s Festivities

There are a few big celebrations happening in San Diego county tomorrow, in celebration of St. Patrick Day. Here are three, brought to my attention by U~T San Diego:

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Irish Festival

This family-friendly event is centered in and around Balboa Park, and is put on by the Irish Congress of Southern California. The parade includes horses, colorful dancers, and general merriment around the park, then is followed by a festival. The festival showcases Irish musicians, corned beef, Guinness beer, a Celtic Village, and live music throughout the day.

Details: Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. from Sixth Avenue and Juniper Street. Festival is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Balboa Park along Sixth Avenue.

Cost: Free!

ShamRock 2012

This adults-only celebration is in the Gaslamp district. The event will feature several bands, including the Young Dubliners, as well as Irish River Dancers and DJs.

Details: 2 p.m. to midnight, along Fifth and Sixth avenues in the Gaslamp Quarter

North County St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival
